Terms of Service

By creating an account you agree to these terms. The service is provided by [registered company name, number and address] (“we”). If you use MyDBC on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation.

You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account.

Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens through your account.

You may invite colleagues to a shared workspace. Anything they do with cards and contacts in that workspace is your organisation’s responsibility.

Your cards, photos, logos and contacts remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, and to display a published card to whoever opens its link.

A published card is public. Anyone with the URL can view it, and search engines may index it unless you set the card to unlisted or private. Do not put anything on a card that you would not put on a public web page.

You are responsible for having the right to use everything you upload — photographs, company logos, trade marks and any HTML template you import.

• Impersonate another person or organisation.
• Upload unlawful, deceptive, or infringing material.
• Use captured contacts to send messages the recipient did not ask for.
• Attempt to breach the service’s security or reach another customer’s data.
• Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.

We may suspend an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not serious we will contact you first.

This is the part people most often get wrong, so it is stated plainly. When someone shares their details through your card, you become responsible for that personal data, not us. That means you must:

• have a lawful reason to collect and use it;
• tell those people who you are and what you will do with their details;
• honour their requests to see, correct or delete what you hold; and
• follow the marketing rules that apply where they live before contacting them.

We act as your processor for this data and only handle it to provide the service. If you need a data processing agreement, contact [DPA contact email].

The free plan includes 3 cards. Paid plans lift that limit and unlock additional features; current pricing is shown in the app before you subscribe.

Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal — your plan continues to the end of the period you have paid for.

We aim to keep MyDBC available and to deploy changes without interruption, but we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on any plan today. Planned maintenance that we expect to be disruptive will be announced in advance.

We keep backups, but you should keep your own copy of anything important. You can export your data at any time from Settings.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your personal details are erased and your cards are taken offline, so their public links stop working straight away. Export anything you want to keep first.

We may end the agreement for a serious or repeated breach of section 4, or if we stop offering the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice and time to export.

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

We may update these terms. For changes that materially reduce what you get, we will give you notice before they take effect, and continuing to use MyDBC afterwards means you accept them. The date at the top reflects the last material change.
